Hello everyone! In this post, we will detail our journey from the bayou to the desert in just three days. First, we’ll start with a fun, interactive poll!
Day Sixteen:
Texas State Capitol:
A funny water tower we saw along the way to the Texas State Capitol.
Pictures from the Capitol of the State of Texas. This was the largest state capitol we visited and it had the most tourist-friendly design. Very cool paintings and sculptures of heroes from Texan history.
San Antonio, TX:
The Alamo! One of America’s most iconic buildings and one of the gemstones of downtown San Antonio.
The beautiful downtown riverwalk of San Antonio! Beautiful buildings on either side of a river for miles with restaurants, no noisy cars, and the option to take a boat tour through the heart of San Antonio!
Campsite at Brady Lake:
For the first time in our lives, we were starting to see the desert! This was exciting, as most of us had never seen cactus before.
Day Seventeen:
Big Bend National Park:
Campsite at Big Bend National Park:
Day Eighteen:
Big Bend National Park Part Two:
We ate a cactus fruit because the sign at the park said we could! Only one of us got needles in our mouth.
The Rio Grande River and the border between the United States and Mexico!
White Sands National Park:
Elias beats Dylan in a fight in the sand.
Campsite at Dog Canyon:
Sunset and moonrise were within 20 minutes of each other in this enchanting desert location.
For this whole trip, I’ve done most of the talking about the places I’ve been, l want to know where your favorite place in the whole world is. It doesn’t need to be special, it can be your backyard for all I care, I just want to hear other people’s unique experiences and favorite places in the comments down below!
My absolute favorite place is Aruba. Nowhere particular, anywhere on the island will do. Can't wait to go back!!
One of my favorite places is the basin in Franconia notch New Hampshire. Second is castle Rock in Marblehead Massachusetts
